Disability Justice Framework (2018)
10 pages, 5 ½” x 4 ¼”

An illustrated zine documenting a disability justice framework developed by Patty Berne, co-founder and director of Sins Invalid, a performance project that incubates and celebrates artists with disabilities, centralizing artists of color and queer and gender-variant artists as communities who have been historically marginalized. These zines were distributed at a student-led public panel at SAIC about integrating disability justice into school culture (curated and facilitated by Gia Berrios).

Nothing About Us Without Us (2019)
4-color offset poster, 10” x 16”

A hand-drawn poster reading the disability rights slogan, used to communicate the idea that no policy should be decided by any representative without the full and direct participation of members of the group(s) affected by that policy. This poster was distributed at a Disability Art Showcase and Makerspace event (curated and facilitated by Bri Beck) at Access Living in Chicago, IL to celebrate Chicago disabled artists and allies. Poster profits went to ADAPT Chicago, a national grass-roots community that organizes disability rights activists to engage in nonviolent direct action, including civil disobedience, to assure the civil and human rights of people with disabilities to live in freedom.
